Jordan Mendell
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jordan Mendell is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Full Circle Capital Management. Prior to founding Full Circle, Jordan worked at Wells Fargo for nearly 15 years. He most recently served as Managing Director in the Corporate & Investment Bank advising public company CEOs and CFOs on debt and equity capital raising strategies. Before this, Jordan spent 10 years in Wells Fargo’s Hospitality Finance Group, where he was responsible for the origination and asset management of $8.0Bn of hospitality loans for the country’s largest institutional private equity firms and hedge funds. Jordan worked in the Real Estate Merchant Bank originating opportunistic debt across all asset classes and the Real Estate Managed Assets Group, where he led restructurings and workouts of distressed hospitality debt. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Jordan was based in London at HVS Hodges Ward Elliott providing investment advisory services for hotels and resorts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and is licensed in the SIE, Series 67, and Series 79.
Alexander Cherner
Partner
Alexander Cherner is a Partner at Full Circle Capital Management. Alexander is also a Principal at Cherner Capital, which he joined in 2021. Since joining CC, Alexander, along with his partner and brother, Benjamin Cherner, acquired over 1,000 multifamily apartment units across the southeast U.S. and deployed approximately $120MM of investor equity capital into real estate related debt and equity investments. Prior to CC, Alexander was on the investment team at EQT Exeter, one of the largest international real estate private equity funds. At Exeter, Alexander underwrote and closed over $1.2Bn in real estate investment transactions across the risk-reward spectrum. Before Exeter, Alexander worked on the Office Development team at Brookfield Properties in New York; the investment team at 1776, a venture capital firm in Washington D.C.; and on the strategy team at AOL in New York. Alexander graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in Psychology and earned his MBA from Columbia University with concentrations in Real Estate and Economics.
Benjamin Cherner
Partner
Benjamin Cherner is a Partner at Full Circle Capital Management. Benjamin is also a Principal at Cherner Capital, which he joined in 2021. Since joining CC, Benjamin, along with his partner and brother, Alexander Cherner, acquired over 1,000 multifamily apartment units across the southeast U.S. and deployed approximately $120MM of investor equity capital into real estate related debt and equity investments. Prior to CC, Benjamin oversaw over $1Bn of acquisitions at Equity Street Capital in San Diego, CA and managed the underwriting, due diligence, and implementation of business plans for the acquisition and redevelopment of over 750,000 SF of real estate development projects at Douglas Development Corporation in Washington D.C. While at Douglas Development, Benjamin oversaw the construction, bridge, and permanent financing of the 234-room AC Hotel and 200-room Moxy Hotel in Downtown D.C. Benjamin has managed over 3MM SF of real estate investments including 2,500 apartment units, 400,000 SF of office space, and several development projects across various U.S. markets. Benjamin graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Political Science and from Georgetown University with a Master’s in Real Estate Finance.
Andrew Augustus
Director
Andrew Augustus is a Director at Full Circle Capital Management where he is responsible for origination, underwriting and portfolio management activities. Prior to joining Full Circle, Andrew worked in Wells Fargo’s Hospitality Finance Group where he supported the origination and portfolio management of balance sheet loans on hospitality assets in the US and UK. Additionally, Andrew previously worked on the Investments team at HEI Hotels & Resorts, where he led the underwriting of new opportunities for third-party management contracts and joint-venture acquisitions of full-service hotels. Earlier in his career, Andrew worked in Wells Fargo’s Markets Division, structuring interest rate derivative transactions for institutional clients. Andrew received an MBA from the Yale School of Management and graduated from Wake Forest University with a BS in Finance and BA in History.
